Rainfall
Temperature

Exceptional rainfall
- Rainfall amounts exceeding the top 10% on record expected over southern Sudan, northern South Sudan, northern Ethiopia and parts of western Eritrea.
- Rainfall amounts exceeding the top 5% on record expected over cross boarder areas of Sudan, and South Sudan, and northern Ethiopia.

Floods Update
- The expected very heavy rainfall over few places in southern Sudan, northern South Sudan, northern Ethiopia and parts of western Eritrea is likely to lead to flooding.
- Communities in the areas at risk are advised to exercise caution during this period.

Rainfall anomalies
- More than usual rainfall expected over parts of Southern Sudan, northern and southern South Sudan, northern Uganda, western Kenya, and western and north-eastern Ethiopia.
- Less than usual rainfall expected over a few places in central South Sudan, central Ethiopia and parts of coastal regions of Eritrea and Sudan.

Temperature anomalies
- Warmer than usual temperatures expected over most parts of the GHA.

Mean temperatures
- High temperatures (above 32℃) expected over most parts of central to northern Sudan, north-eastern Ethiopia, Djibouti, and parts Eritrea and northern western Somalia.
- Moderate to high temperatures (20-32℃) expected over most parts of South Sudan, southern Sudan, Somalia, Uganda, eastern and northern Kenya, south-eastern Ethiopia, and eastern and north-western Tanzania.
- Mild temperature conditions (less than 20℃) expected over Rwanda, Burundi, parts of central to southern Tanzania, central to south-western Kenya and central to southern Ethiopia.

Heat Stress
- Elevated levels of heat stress expected in central to northern Sudan, Djibouti, and coastal regions of Sudan, Eritrea and north-western Somalia.

Total rainfall
- Heavy rainfall (above 200mm) expected over southwestern Sudan, cross-border areas of Sudan, and South Sudan and north-western Ethiopia.
- Moderate rainfall (50-200mm) expected over most parts of South Sudan, central to northern Ethiopia, central to southern Sudan, central to northern Uganda, and western Kenya.
- Light rainfall (less than 50 mm) expected in central Sudan, southern Ethiopia, north-western Somalia, Djibouti, coastal Eritrea, and eastern Tanzania.
