Temperature
- Warmer than usual temperatures are expected in most parts of the region, except over localized areas in the rift valley region where temperatures are forecast to be colder than average.
- Moderate temperatures between 20 - 32 ℃ are expected in Sudan, South Sudan, Eritrea, Djibouti, Somalia, north-eastern and south-eastern Ethiopia, eastern and northern Kenya, eastern parts of Rwanda, and Burundi, Uganda, and Tanzania.
- Relatively cold conditions with temperatures less than 20℃ are expected in central and northern Ethiopia, parts of central to western Kenya, south-western regions of Uganda, western Rwanda and Burundi, few regions in southern and northern Tanzania, and localized areas in northern Somalia.
Headline: Moderate rainfall is expected in parts of south-western Sudan, western South Sudan, western and southern Ethiopia, and western Burundi and Rwanda. Temperatures are expected to be warmer than average in most regions.

- Heavy rainfall (top 10% on record) is expected over localized areas in south-western Sudan, southern Ethiopia, and central Somalia.
- Moderate rainfall between 50 - 100 mm is expected in parts of central and western South Sudan, south-western Sudan, south-western Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi, part of central and western Kenya, few areas in southern and western Ethiopia, and parts of central Somalia.
- Light rainfall of less than 30 mm is expected over southern Sudan, much of South Sudan, western and southern Ethiopia, central and southern Somalia, central and western Kenya, southern Uganda, and much of Tanzania.
- Dry conditions are expected in central and northern Sudan, northern and eastern Ethiopia, Eritrea, Djibouti, northern Somalia, northern Kenya, and central and southern Tanzania.
