Temperature
- Warm temperatures above 28℃ expected in the White Nile and Sennari in Sudan; Upper Nile and Jonglei in South Sudan; and Gambella region in Ethiopia.
- Moderate temperatures between 20 - 28℃ expected in Sudan, central to western South Sudan, Uganda, most parts of Tanzania, northern and eastern Kenya, Somalia, Djibouti, Eritrea, and southern, western and eastern Ethiopia.
- Relatively cold conditions with temperatures less than 20℃ expected in Rwanda, Burundi, parts of central and western Kenya, and central Ethiopia.

Rainfall
Headline: Very heavy to heavy rainfall is expected over limited areas in central Kenya and southern Tanzania.
- Very heavy to heavy rainfall (top 5 to 10% on record) is expected over central Kenya and southern Tanzania.
- Moderate rainfall between 50 - 100 mm is expected in Burundi, western Rwanda, and western and parts of Tanzania.
- Light rainfall less than 30 mm is expected in southern Somalia, eastern and western Kenya, northern Tanzania, western Uganda, much of South Sudan, and southern Ethiopia.
- Dry conditions are expected in much of Sudan, Eritrea, Djibouti, northern and south-eastern Ethiopia, northern Somalia, north-western Kenya, and eastern Uganda.
Note: 1 mm of rainfall is equivalent to 1 litre of rainfall per square meter.
