  • Warm temperatures above 28 ℃ are expected in eastern South Sudan, including Jonglei and Eastern Equatorial States; north-eastern and eastern Kenya including Turkana, Marsabit and Wajir counties; parts of southern Somalia, south-eastern Ethiopia, and southern Tanzania.
  • Moderate conditions in the range of 20 - 28℃ are expected in southern Sudan, western South Sudan, central to northern Uganda, parts of eastern and northern Kenya, much of Somalia; southern, north-eastern and western Ethiopia; Djibouti, much of Eritrea, and much of Tanzania.
  • Relatively cold conditions with temperatures less than 20℃ expected in northern Sudan, central Ethiopia, northern Somalia, western Kenya, Rwanda, Burundi, a few areas in Uganda, and Tanzania.

  • Dry conditions are expected over Sudan, northern South Sudan, northern and south-eastern Ethiopia, Djibouti, central Somalia, north-eastern Uganda, and northern and eastern Kenya.
