Temperature

Exceptional rainfall
- Rainfall amounts exceeding the top 10% on record expected over parts of southern, central to northern Kenya, northern Tanzania, most parts of Rwanda, and parts of northern Burundi.

Flood
- The expected very heavy rainfall is likely to lead to isolated flood incidences over a few places, in parts of southern, central, and northern Kenya, northern Tanzania, most parts of Rwanda, and parts of northern Burundi.
- Communities in high-risk areas are advised to exercise caution during this period.

Rainfall anomalies
- More than usual rainfall expected most parts of Uganda, Kenya, Rwanda, northern Burundi, northern and central Tanzania, southern and northern Somalia, southern Ethiopia and south-eastern South Sudan.
- Less than usual rainfall expected over few places in southern and western Tanzania.

Temperature anomalies
- Warmer than usual temperatures expected over most parts of the Greater Horn of Africa (GHA) region.
- Cooler than usual temperatures expected over parts of central Sudan, cross border regions of northern Kenya, southern Ethiopia and south-eastern South Sudan, and other isolated areas across the GHA.

Mean temperatures
- Moderate to high temperatures (20-32℃) expected over most parts of South Sudan, Uganda, Tanzania, Kenya, Somalia, Djibouti, Eritrea, and southern and eastern regions of Sudan.
- Mild temperature conditions (less than 20℃) expected over parts north-western Sudan, central to southern Ethiopia, central to western Kenya and most parts of Rwanda and Burundi.

Heat Stress
- Cautionary heat stress levels expected in eastern regions of Kenya, coastal Tanzania, eastern and northern South Sudan, southern Somalia and eastern Sudan.

Total rainfall
- Heavy rainfall (>200mm) expected over a few parts of southern Kenya, northern to southern Tanzania, southern Rwanda and northern Burundi.
- Moderate rainfall (50-200mm) expected over most parts of Uganda, Kenya, Rwanda, Burundi, Tanzania, and southern Somalia.
- Light rainfall (less than 50 mm) expected over parts of southwestern South Sudan, central to southern Ethiopia, central to northern Somalia and southwestern Tanzania.
