- Warm temperatures above 32℃ are expected in northern Sudan, western and coastal Eritrea, Afar region in Ethiopia, Djibouti, and northern coastal Somalia.
- Moderate temperatures in the range of 20 - 32 ℃ are expected in southern and western Sudan, South Sudan, northwestern and southeastern Ethiopia, Somalia, eastern and northern Kenya, northern Uganda, parts of central and south-eastern Tanzania.
- Relatively cold conditions with temperatures less than 20℃ are expected in central and western Ethiopia, western Kenya, southern Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi, and much of Tanzania.
Heavy to very heavy rainfall expected over western Ethiopia and southern Sudan.
- Heavy to very heavy rainfall (top 10 to 5% on record) expected in western Ethiopia and southern Sudan.
- Moderate rainfall between 50 - 200 mm is expected in northern and western Ethiopia, north-western South Sudan, south-western Sudan, and limited areas in western Kenya.
- Light rainfall less than 30 mm is expected in parts of central and south-eastern Sudan, eastern and southern South Sudan, central parts of Ethiopia, Eritrea, eastern Uganda, western and coastal Kenya, northern and southern coastal Somalia, southern and coastal Tanzania.
- Dry conditions are expected in northern Sudan, eastern and southern Ethiopia, southern and northern Eritrea, Djibouti, central Somalia, much of Kenya, Burundi, Rwanda, and much of northern and western Tanzania.
