Temperature
- Warm temperatures above 32 ℃ are expected in north-eastern South Sudan and Al Dinder in Sudan.
- Moderate temperatures between 20 - 32 ℃ are expected in most parts of Sudan, South Sudan, Uganda, Tanzania, Kenya, Somalia, Djibouti, Eritrea, and southern, western and eastern Ethiopia.
- Relatively cold conditions with temperatures less than 20 ℃ are expected in central Ethiopia, north-western Sudan, parts of central and western Kenya, Rwanda, Burundi, and south-western Tanzania.
Rainfall
Headline: Very heavy to heavy rainfall is expected over southern and eastern Tanzania
- Very heavy to heavy rainfall (top 5 to 10% on record) and weekly total rainfall exceeding 100 mm is expected over areas in southern and eastern Tanzania.
- Moderate rainfall between 50 - 100 mm is expected in central and northern Tanzania, Burundi, southern Rwanda, central and north-western South Sudan, in a few areas of southern Sudan, and western Ethiopia.
- Light rainfall less than 30 mm is expected in northern Rwanda, most areas of Uganda, south-western and coastal Kenya, eastern and western South Sudan, western Ethiopia, and southern Sudan.
- Dry conditions are expected in much of Sudan, Eritrea, Djibouti, Ethiopia, Somalia, Kenya, and north-eastern Uganda.
