- Warm temperatures above 32℃ are expected in northern Sudan, coastal Eritrea, Afar region in Ethiopia, coastal regions of Djibouti, and Somalia's northern coastal region.
- Moderate temperatures between 20 - 32℃ are expected in central and southern Sudan, South Sudan, southeastern and northeastern Ethiopia, Somalia, eastern and northern Kenya, northern Uganda, parts of north-western and eastern Tanzania.
- Relatively cold conditions with temperatures less than 20℃ are expected in central and western Ethiopia, central and western Kenya, southern Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi, and much of Tanzania.
Rainfall
Headline: Heavy to very heavy rainfall is expected over parts of northern Ethiopia, Eritrea, and parts of eastern and western Sudan. Stakeholders, especially in eastern Sudan are advised to take appropriate measures to protect lives and livelihoods.
- Heavy to very heavy rainfall (top 10 to 5% on record) 100 to more than 200 mm is expected in northern Ethiopia, parts of western Eritrea, and parts of western Darfur, Sennar, and Gedaraf in Sudan. Areas in this category are expected to receive total rainfall above 100 mm.
- Moderate rainfall between 50 - 100 mm is expected over southern Sudan, much of South Sudan, parts of central and northern Ethiopia, and a few areas of western Kenya.
- Light rainfall of less than 30 mm is expected over central Sudan, south-eastern South Sudan, eastern Ethiopia, Djibouti, Eritrea, northern and southern coastal regions of Somalia, western and coastal Kenya, north-eastern Uganda, and few places in southern Tanzania.
- Dry conditions are expected in Rwanda, Burundi, much of Uganda, most of Tanzania, eastern and northern Kenya, central Somalia, southern Ethiopia, and northern Sudan.
