Rainfall anomalies
- Wetter than usual conditions expected over south-western, central, and eastern parts of Ethiopia, most parts of Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, and eastern parts of Rwanda and Burundi.
Exceptional rainfall
- Heavy to very heavy rainfall (top 10%-5%) rainfall expected over eastern parts of Ethiopia, central, northern, and southern Kenya, eastern Rwanda and Burundi as well as eastern, southern, and north-western Tanzania.
Mean temperatures
- Moderate to high temperatures (20 - 32 ℃) expected over central and southern Sudan, South Sudan, eastern and southern Ethiopia, Eritrea, Djibouti, Somalia, northern and eastern Kenya, Uganda, and most parts of Tanzania.
- Mild conditions (less than 20℃) expected over central to northern Ethiopia, central to western Kenya, Rwanda, Burundi, and isolated areas of southern and northern Tanzania.
Total rainfall
- Heavy rainfall (more than 200mm) expected over isolated parts of eastern Ethiopia, south-western Kenya, and southern Tanzania.
- Moderate rainfall (50-200mm) expected over south-western to eastern Ethiopia, most parts of Kenya, Uganda, Burundi, Rwanda, and Tanzania.
- Light rainfall (less than 50 mm) expected over Somalia, south-eastern Ethiopia, southern South Sudan, Djibouti, and parts of eastern and north-western Kenya.
- Dry conditions expected over Sudan, northern South Sudan, most parts of Eritrea, western Ethiopia, central Somalia, and parts of Djibouti.
