Temperature Anomalies

Warmer than normal temperatures expected in most parts of Sudan, South Sudan, north-western, north-eastern and south-eastern Ethiopia, Eritrea, Djibouti, and much of central to northern Somalia.
Cooler than normal temperatures expected in parts of central to south-western Ethiopia, much of central to northern Kenya, few areas in Uganda, and western and few areas in southern Tanzania.

Mean Temperature

Hot conditions with temperatures above 32 ℃ expected over southern to eastern Sudan, and central to north-eastern South Sudan.
Moderate temperatures between 20 - 32 ℃ expected over much of southern Sudan, western and southern parts of South Sudan, Uganda, much of Kenya, Somalia, Djibouti, western, south-eastern and north-eastern parts of Ethiopia, Eritrea, and much of Tanzania.
Relatively cold conditions with temperatures less than 20℃ expected in parts of central to northern Ethiopia, central to western Kenya, few areas in northern Somalia, Rwanda, Burundi, and few areas in south-western Tanzania.

Exceptional Rainfall

Heavy to Very Heavy (top 10-5%) rainfall expected over few areas in north-western and southern Tanzania and central to northern Kenya.

Rainfall Anomalies

More than normal rainfall expected over southern and north-western Tanzania, central to northern Kenya, western South Sudan, parts of Burundi, Rwanda, and part of western Ethiopia.
Less than normal rainfall expected over central to eastern Tanzania, much of Uganda, western and south-eastern Kenya, a few regions in southern South Sudan, Rwanda and south-western Ethiopia.

Total Rainfall

Moderate rainfall (50-200mm) expected over Rwanda, Burundi, north-western and southern Tanzania, few regions in central Kenya, and western Ethiopia.
Light rainfall less than 30 mm expected over much of South Sudan, western and southern Ethiopia, southern and eastern Kenya, Uganda, southern and northern Somalia, and parts of northern Tanzania.
Dry conditions expected in Djibouti, northern and south-eastern Ethiopia, central to north-eastern Somalia, and border regions of eastern Uganda into western Kenya and south-eastern South Sudan. Sudan and Eritrea are generally dry during this period.
