Very heavy rainfall (top 5% on record) is expected in northern, southern and south-western Sudan; parts of north-western South Sudan; isolated regions of western, northern and eastern Ethiopia; western Eritrea, and northern Somalia.
Heavy rainfall (top 10% on record) is expected in central and southern Sudan, parts of western South Sudan, parts of eastern Ethiopia into northern Somalia, parts of north-western Eritrea, and a few regions in northern Kenya.

High daily mean temperatures above 32^oC are expected in northern Sudan, coastal Eritrea, parts of north-eastern Ethiopia, parts of Djibouti, and regions in north-western coast of Somalia.
Moderate daily mean temperatures between 20-32^oC are expected over southern Sudan, South Sudan, north-eastern and south-eastern Ethiopia, Somalia, north-western and eastern Kenya, northern Uganda, parts of eastern Rwanda and Burundi, and western and eastern Tanzania.
Low daily mean temperatures below 20^oC are expected over much of southern to northern Ethiopia, parts of central to western Kenya, parts of southern Uganda, western Rwanda, western Burundi, and parts of central to southern Tanzania.

Heavy rainfall above 200 mm expected in parts of western Ethiopia, south-western Sudan and north-western South Sudan.
Moderate rainfall between 50-200 mm expected in western and central Ethiopia, western Eritrea, southern Sudan, much of South Sudan, central and north-western Uganda; western and parts of central, coastal and north-eastern Kenya; and parts of north-eastern and south-eastern Somalia.
Light rainfall less than 50 mm is expected in central to northern Sudan, southern and eastern Ethiopia, Djibouti, south-eastern Eritrea, central Somalia, southern and eastern Kenya, southern Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi, and parts of north-western, eastern and southern Tanzania.
Dry conditions are expected in much of western and central Tanzania, eastern to north-western Kenya, parts of south-eastern and north-eastern Ethiopia, and northern Sudan.
