Temperature
High daily-mean temperatures above 32 ℃ expected over northern parts of Sudan, coastal parts of Eritrea, Djibouti and northern Somalia, and parts of north-eastern Ethiopia.
Moderate daily-mean temperatures between 20 and 32℃ are expected over Somalia, south-eastern and much of north-eastern Ethiopia, much of Eritrea, Djibouti, much of Kenya, Uganda, South Sudan, central and southern parts of Sudan, eastern Rwanda, and much of western and coastal Tanzania.
Low daily-mean temperatures below 20℃ expected over central and western parts of Kenya extending to south-eastern Uganda, western Rwanda, Burundi, south-western and central Tanzania, much of western half of Ethiopia and parts in the eastern region.
Heavy rainfall above 200 mm is expected over few areas of central and northern Ethiopia, southern parts of Sudan and the South Sudan-Sudan border, and adjacent areas.
Moderate rainfall between 50 mm and 200 mm is expected over much of central, western, and northern Ethiopia extending to Eritrea, parts of north-western Somalia, much of South Sudan, southern parts of Sudan, northern parts of Uganda, and parts of western Kenya.
Light rains below 50 mm expected in central and southern Uganda; north-western, central and coastal Kenya; southern parts of Somalia, Djibouti, south-eastern and north-eastern Ethiopia, much of Eritrea, and central and northern parts of Sudan.
Much of Tanzania, Rwanda, Burundi, southern and eastern Kenya, south-eastern tip of Ethiopia, and central Somalia are expected to remain dry.
