Warmer maximum temperature anomalies observed over northeastern Kenyan and Somalia.
- Warmer than usually maximum temperature recorded in northern Somalia, southeastern Ethiopia, southwestern parts of South Sudan, coastal parts and northeastern Kenya, southern and northern Tanzania.
- Colder than usual maximum temperature recorded in most parts of Sudan, central and northern South Sudan, central and northern parts of Ethiopia, much parts of Eritrea, central coast of Somalia, southwestern Tanzania.
Warmer minimum temperature anomalies observed over northeastern Somalia, northern Kenya, southwestern South Sudan and Uganda
- Warmer than usually minimum temperature recorded in northwestern and northeastern Sudan, most parts of central, western and northern Ethiopia, southern, central and northeastern parts of South Sudan, nearly everywhere in Somalia, Kenya and Uganda.
- Colder than usual minimum temperature recorded in most parts of northern, southern and western Sudan, northwestern Eritrea, southeastern Ethiopia, western and eastern Tanzania.
Highest amount of rainfall observed over most parts of Sudan, South Sudan and Ethiopia

- 300 - 500 mm of rainfall observed in much parts of central Ethiopia.
- 200 – 300 mm of rainfall observed in western Kenya, south and western South Sudan, much parts of western and northern Ethiopia.
- 100 – 200 mm of rainfall observed in central and northern Uganda, much parts of South Sudan, southern and eastern parts of Sudan.
- 50 – 100 mm of rainfall observed in much parts of central parts of Sudan, costal parts of Kenya and costal parts of southern Somalia.
- 10 – 50 mm of rainfall observed in southern and southwestern parts of Sudan, much parts of Eritrea, Djibouti, eastern Ethiopia, northwestern Kenya and southern Somalia and southwestern Uganda.
- Dry conditions(usually dry in this time of season) observed in extreme northern part of Sudan, southeastern Ethiopia, northern Somalia, northeastern Kenya, almost everywhere in most Rwanda, Burundi and Tanzania
Severely wet conditions observed over central Sudan and northeastern Ethiopia.
- Severely wet (much wetter than usual) conditions observed in northern Sudan, northeastern Ethiopia, northern parts of Eritrea.
- Wetter than normal conditions observed in central Ethiopia and Sudan, isolated areas in southern and eastern South Sudan, western Kenya and eastern Uganda.
- Normal rainfall conditions (usual average conditions) observed in much parts of South Sudan, southern and central parts of Sudan, southwestern, western and northwestern Ethiopia, central and northern Uganda and southern Tanzania.
- Moderate dry (drier than usual) conditions observed in southwestern Uganda, much parts of Rwanda and Burundi.
- Extremely to Severely wet (much wetter than usual) conditions observed in south Kordofan region of Sudan, western South Sudan, central and northeastern Eritrea Ethiopia, northeastern Eritrea, most of Djibouti, isolated areas in central, southeastern and southern parts of South Sudan, northeastern Uganda and northwestern Kenya.
- Normal rainfall conditions (usual average conditions) observed in much parts of central and northern parts of South Sudan, western and northwestern Ethiopia, central and northern Uganda.
- Moderate to Severely dry (drier than usual) conditions observed in southwestern Uganda, southeastern Sudan, and northeastern South Sudan
