- Heavy rainfall (between 300 - 500 mm) observed in isolated areas in southern Tanzania.
- Moderate to heavy rainfall (between 200 - 500 mm) observed in most parts of southern Tanzania.
- Moderate to heavy rainfall (between 100 - 200 mm) observed in central and western Tanzania, everywhere in Burundi, southern and western Rwanda, Lake Victoria basin.
- Light rainfall (between 50 - 100 mm) observed in eastern Tanzania, central Uganda, and western Kenya, highland of central and western Ethiopia.
- Rainfall range 10-50mm observed over most parts of southern and central South Sudan, western and central Ethiopia, most parts of Kenya, southern Somalia.
- Dry conditions (usual during this time of the year) in most parts of Sudan, north-western Eretria Djibouti and northern Somalia.

- Much wetter than usual conditions observed over adjusted areas in eastern South Sudan and western Ethiopia.
- Wetter than usual conditions observed in western South Sudan, central Somalia, eastern South Sudan and western Ethiopia.
- Usual rainfall conditions observed in most parts of central and western Tanzania, most parts of Burundi and Rwanda, southern parts of Uganda, most parts of central South Sudan and central Ethiopia.
- Moderately drier than usual conditions observed in eastern Tanzania, most parts of Kenya, southern and north-eastern Ethiopia, sporadic areas in South Sudan.
- Much drier than usual conditions observed in north-eastern Ethiopia, isolated areas in south-eastern Kenya and central Somalia.

- Moderately wetter to severely wettest than usual conditions observed over western South Sudan, central Somalia, eastern South Sudan and western Ethiopia.
