Rainfall
Moderately dry to severely dry conditions were observed in southeastern Sudan, in coastal and southern parts of Eritrea, in Djibouti, in northern, northeastern, and western Ethiopia, in northwestern and southwestern Uganda, in northwestern and parts of central Somalia, and in northern parts of Kenya.
Moderately wet to extremely wet conditions were observed in western and southwestern Sudan, in northwestern South Sudan, in southwestern part of Ethiopia, and in eastern Uganda and parts of western Kenya.
Usual rainfall and no rainfall conditions were observed in the rest of the region.
Wetter than usual condition was observed in western Sudan, and in parts of southwestern Ethiopia, eastern Uganda and western Kenya
Drier to much drier than usual conditions were observed in coastal and southern Eritrea, in parts of Djibouti, in northwestern Somalia in northeastern and southwestern Ethiopia, in southwestern South Sudan, parts of northern Kenya, in southwestern Uganda, and eastern Rwanda.
Usual or no rainfall conditions were observed in the rest of the region.
Rainfall exceeding 200mm was observed in southwestern part of Sudan, in northwestern and western parts of Ethiopia, and in northwestern South Sudan.
Moderate rainfall of between 100mm and 200mm was observed in southern parts of Sudan, southwestern Eritrea, in several parts of South Sudan, in parts of northwestern, central and western Ethiopia, in northwestern to southwestern Uganda, and in part of western Kenya
Light rainfall between 10 - 100 mm was observed in across the central parts of Sudan, in the eastern and southern margins of central Ethiopia in southwestern and western Uganda, in southern Somalia, and in southeastern Kenya.
Little or No rain conditions not exceeding 10mm was observed in much of the rest of Sudan, in coastal, central and southern Eritrea, in much of Djibouti, Somalia, Rwanda, Burundi and Tanzania, in northeastern, eastern and southern Ethiopia, and in northern, central and south-central Kenya.
