Rainfall

Moderate to high rainfall amounts of exceeding 500mm was observed in western and southwestern parts of Tanzania.
Moderate rainfall amounts of between 201-500mm were observed in much of Tanzania, in southwestern part of Ethiopia, in the areas of Uganda bordering Lake Victoria, in western parts of Kenya, and in much of Rwanda and Burundi.
Light rainfall between 11 - 200 mm was observed in several parts of Eritrea, Djibouti, South Sudan, Ethiopia, Uganda, southern Somalia, and northern, central, eastern and coastal Kenya.
No rainfall or less than 10mm was observed in the rest of the region.

Moderately dry to extremely dry conditions were observed in several parts of Eritrea, Djibouti, South Sudan, northern and northeastern Ethiopia, Rwanda, northern Burundi, northern Somalia, in several parts of northwestern to southwestern Uganda, in parts of northwestern, central eastern and southeastern Tanzania.
Moderate to severely wet rainfall conditions were observed in a southern Ethiopia, in southern Somalia, in eastern and northeastern Uganda, and in northwestern, eastern and northeastern Kenya.
Usual rainfall conditions were observed in the rest of the region.

Drier than usual and much drier than usual conditions were observed in western parts of Eritrea, in parts of Djibouti, in northern, western and southwestern South Sudan, in northern, northeastern and eastern Ethiopia extending to northern Somalia, in northwestern Uganda and in eastern Rwanda.
Wetter than and much wetter than usual conditions were observed in southern Ethiopia, in southern Somalia, in northeastern and eastern Uganda, and in parts of northwestern, eastern and northeastern Kenya.
No rain condition was observed in the much of Sudan, in southwestern Eritrea, in northwestern Ethiopia, and in parts of northern Somalia.
Usual rainfall conditions were observed in much of the rest of the region.
