Moderately dry to severely dry conditions were observed in southwestern, south-central and southeastern Sudan, in much of western South Sudan, in western and central Ethiopia, in northwestern, northern and southwestern Uganda and in parts of western Rwanda.

Moderately wet to severely wet conditions were observed in much of Eritrea, in central to northerns parts of Sudan, and in parts of western Kenya.

Usual rainfall conditions and no rainfall conditions were observed in much of the rest of the region.

Drier than usual conditions were observed in southwest south-central and southeastern Sudan, in much of western South Sudan, in northern and southwestern Uganda, in parts of western and parts of western Ethiopia, in several parts of Rwanda,

Wetter than and much wetter than usual conditions were observed in central to northern parts of Sudan, in several parts of Eritrea, and in parts of western Kenya.

no rainfall conditions was observed in eastern and southeastern Ethiopia, in northern and central Somalia, in much of northern, eastern, central and south-central Kenya, in much of Burundi, and in several parts of Tanzania.

Near Normal were observed much of the rest of the Region.

Rainfall of exceeding 100 mm was observed parts of northern Ethiopia and central Eritrea.

Moderate rainfall of between 26-100 mm was observed in much of the central to southern parts of Sudan, in western Eritrea, in northern, western and central Ethiopia, in much of South Sudan, in much of northern, and eastern Uganda, and in western Kenya.

Light rainfall of between 6- 25 mm occurred in central to eastern parts of Sudan, in coastal and central parts of Eritrea, in parts of northeastern Ethiopia, in parts of South Sudan, in western and central Uganda, and in coastal Kenya

Rainfall less than 5mm was observed in the rest of the region
