Rainfall
- Moderate to heavy rainfall (between 200 - 300 mm) was not recorded in the region.
- Moderate rainfall (between 100 - 200 mm) was recorded in southern parts of Tanzania.
- Light rainfall (between 10 - 100 mm) was recorded in Rwanda, Burundi, central to southern parts of Uganda, western and central parts of Kenya, and most of Tanzania.
- Dry conditions (normal for this time of the year) were recorded in Sudan, South Sudan, Djibouti, Eritrea, Somalia, most of Ethiopia and northern Uganda, and several parts of northern, eastern, and coastal Kenya.
- Wetter to much wetter than usual conditions were observed in south-western Uganda, northern Rwanda, parts of western Kenya, and northern, eastern, and southern Tanzania.
- Usual rainfall conditions were observed over most of Sudan, Somalia, South Sudan, Eritrea, Djibouti, northern Uganda; northern, eastern, and central parts of Kenya; north-western, eastern, and central Ethiopia; southern Rwanda, north-eastern Burundi, and most of western Tanzania.
- Drier to much drier than usual conditions observed in south-western and north-eastern Ethiopia, southern parts of South Sudan, western and central Uganda, parts of western Kenya, and in western and southern Burundi.
- Moderate to severely wetter than usual conditions were observed in south-west Uganda, northern Burundi, south-western Kenya, and northern, eastern, and southern Tanzania.
- Usual rainfall conditions were observed in Sudan, Djibouti, Eritrea, South Sudan, Somalia, northern and central Uganda, most of Kenya, southern Rwanda, and most of western Tanzania.
- Moderate to severely drier than usual conditions were observed in isolated areas of south-west and south-east South Sudan, eastern Uganda, western Kenya, and several parts of Burundi, northern and eastern parts of Kenya, eastern Ethiopia, including northern and central Somalia will continue to experience extended and extremely dry conditions.
