Moderately wet to severely wet conditions were observed in much of Burundi, in southern parts of Rwanda, in several parts of western Tanzania.

Moderately dry conditions were observed in the southern parts of South Sudan, in southwestern part of Ethiopia, in western and southeastern part of Uganda in parts of western and southern coast of Kenya, and in a few parts of northern and eastern Tanzania.

Wetter than and much wetter than usual conditions were observed in several parts of Burundi, in southern parts of Rwanda, and in several parts of western Tanzania.

Drier than usual conditions were observed in northeastern, central to southwestern Ethiopia, in southern parts of South Sudan, in several parts of Uganda, in western, central and southern parts of Kenya, in northern and eastern Tanzania.

No rainfall condition was observed in much of Sudan, Somalia, several parts of South Sudan, Somalia, western Eritrea, in parts of Djibouti, in northwestern and eastern Ethiopia, in northern Uganda, and in northern and northeastern Kenya.

Near Normal conditions were observed in southwestern Uganda, in northern and eastern Rwanda, and in central and southeastern Tanzania.

High rainfall exceeding 100mm was observed in the southwestern Tanzania.

Moderate to high rainfall of between 26-100 mm was observed in central and southern Rwanda, in several parts of Burundi, and in northwestern, western, central and southern Tanzania.

Light rainfall of between 6- 25 mm occurred in southern parts of Uganda, in parts of western and central Kenya, and parts of northern and northeastern Tanzania.

Rainfall less than 5mm was observed in the rest of the region.
