Rainfall
Drier than and much drier than usual conditions were observed in southern parts of Sudan, in several parts of South Sudan, in western Eritrea, in several parts of western, central, northern, eastern and southwestern Ethiopia, in southern parts of Somalia, southwestern Uganda, central and northwestern Kenya, and in much of Rwanda and Burundi.
Wetter than and much wetter than usual conditions were observed in a few parts of northwestern and southwestern Uganda, and in parts of western Kenya.
Near normal rainfall condition was observed in central to southern parts of South Sudan, parts of northern, western and central Uganda, and in parts of western and coastal Kenya.
Moderate rainfall of between 26-50mm and exceeding 50mm was recorded in western to southwestern parts of South Sudan, western Ethiopia, parts of western and coastal Kenya, and northern, central to western Uganda.
Light rainfall of between 6- 25 mm occurred in the southern parts of Sudan, in northern and central parts of Ethiopia, in northern and eastern parts of South Sudan, in parts of southwestern Uganda, southeastern Somalia, and southwestern Rwanda.
Much of the rest of the region received less than 5mm of rainfall.

Moderately wet to severely wet conditions were observed in a few isolated parts of northwestern and southwestern Uganda and western Kenya.
