Rainfall
Moderate to heavy rainfall of between 51-200 mm was observed in parts of western Kenya, and in parts of western and southern Tanzania.
Moderate rainfall of between 26 - 50 mm was observed in central to southwestern Ethiopia, in southern and eastern Uganda, in several parts of Rwanda and Burundi, and in several parts of northern, western and central Tanzania.
Light rainfall of between 6- 25 mm occurred in southwestern and central parts of Ethiopia, in southern parts of South Sudan, in northern and central parts of Uganda, in western, central southern and coastal parts of Kenya, and in northeastern Tanzania.
Rainfall less than 5mm was observed in much of Sudan, Eritrea, Djibouti, Somalia, South Sudan, in several parts of western, northern and eastern Ethiopia, and in several parts of northern and eastern Kenya.
Moderately wet to severely wet conditions were observed in some parts of central and northeastern Ethiopia, in southeastern part of South Sudan, in southeastern part of Uganda, and in part of western Kenya.
Moderately dry to severely dry conditions were observed in southwestern part of South Sudan, in several parts of Rwanda and Burundi, and in a few parts in western and northcentral Tanzania.
Usual rainfall conditions were observed in much of the rest of the region.
Wetter than and much wetter than usual conditions were observed some parts of central and northeastern Ethiopia, in part of south eastern South Sudan, in southeastern part of Uganda, and in part of western Kenya.
Drier than usual conditions were observed in some parts of eastern and southeastern Ethiopia, in part of southwestern South Sudan, in much of northern, central and western parts of Kenya, in several parts of Rwanda and Burundi, and in parts of western, and northeastern Tanzania.
Near Normal conditions were observed in several parts of Uganda, in southern Burundi, and in several areas of Tanzania.
No rainfall conditions were observed in much of Sudan, western and central Eritrea, in parts of Djibouti, in much of Somalia and South Sudan, in northwestern and eastern Ethiopia, and in northeastern, eastern and coastal Kenya.
