Rainfall
Heavy to moderate rainfall between 50 - 200 mm was observed in western Ethiopia, in south-eastern Uganda, south-eastern Somalia, in western and coastal parts of Kenya, and in parts of the Lake Victoria region of Tanzania.
Light rainfall between 25 - 50 mm was observed in western and eastern parts of South Sudan, in northern parts of Uganda, in parts of eastern and southern Ethiopia, central and southern parts of Somalia, north-eastern Kenya, and in northern coastal region of Tanzania.
Rainfall between 5 - 25 mm was observed in southern parts of Sudan; north-eastern, central and southern parts of South Sudan; central and eastern parts of Ethiopia, north-western Somalia, south-western Uganda, parts of central and north-western Kenya, Rwanda, northern and eastern parts of Burundi, and in north-western and eastern parts of Tanzania.
Usual dry (usually dry in this time of season) was observed much of Sudan, Eritrea, Djibouti, north-eastern Ethiopia, north-eastern Somalia, in parts of north-western and eastern Kenya, south-western Uganda, southern Burundi, and in north-eastern, central, western and southern Tanzania.
Wetter than to much wetter than normal conditions were observed in southern parts of Sudan, north-western and north-eastern South Sudan, in western parts of Ethiopia, in central and southern Somalia, north-eastern and coastal parts of Kenya.
Normal rainfall conditions were observed in parts of eastern Ethiopia, north-western and western Kenya, parts of central Somalia, eastern and south-eastern Uganda, and in parts of north-western Tanzania.
Drier than normal conditions were observed over much of Eritrea, Djibouti; north-eastern, central and southern parts of Ethiopia; northern Somalia, central and southern parts of South Sudan, northern and western Tanzania; north-western, central and southern parts of Kenya; over much of Rwanda, and in several parts of Tanzania.
Much drier than normal conditions were observed in north-eastern Ethiopia, parts of eastern Kenya, south-western Uganda, over much of Burundi, and in north-eastern part of Tanzania.
