Rainfall
Moderate to heavy rainfall between 50 - 100 mm was observed in some areas in southwestern and southeastern parts of Uganda, in western and central part of Kenya, in western Rwanda, and in much of western and southern Burundi.
Light rainfall between 25 - 50 mm was observed in southern part of South Sudan, in part of southwestern Ethiopia, in central parts of Kenya, in several parts of Uganda, in central and eastern Rwanda, in eastern Burundi, and in northwestern parts of Tanzania.
Rainfall between 5 - 25 mm was observed in northwestern part of Eritrea, in southwestern Ethiopia, in much of the central to southern parts of South Sudan, in a few areas in northwestern, central and northeastern Uganda, in southern parts of Somalia, in northeastern, eastern, coastal and southern parts of Kenya, and in northern, eastern, and western parts of Tanzania.
Usual dry rainfall was observed in much of Sudan, Djibouti, several parts of Eritrea, in northern, central, eastern and southern parts of Ethiopia, in northern parts of South Sudan, in northern, central and northern parts of southern Somalia, in northern parts of Kenya, and in central and southern Tanzania.
Wetter than and much wetter than usual conditions were observed in the southeastern part of South Sudan, in a few isolated areas in central Ethiopia, in southwestern and northeastern Uganda, in western parts of Kenya, in parts of western Burundi, and in a few isolated areas in western and northwestern Tanzania.
Usual rainfall conditions were observed in western parts of Eritrea, in a few areas in western Ethiopia, in central to southeastern South Sudan, in some parts of southwestern, northeastern and southeastern Uganda, in some parts of western and central Kenya, in several parts of Rwanda, in eastern parts of Burundi, and in northwestern parts of Tanzania.
No rainfall conditions were observed in much of Sudan, in northern parts of South Sudan, in parts of western Eritrea, in parts of northern, central and eastern Ethiopia, in much of north and central Somalia, in parts of northwestern and northeastern Kenya, and in central parts of Tanzania.
Drier than usual conditions were observed over much of western and eastern parts of South Sudan, in southern part of Eritrea, in several parts of Djibouti, in several parts of Ethiopia, in much of the western, central and eastern Uganda, in much of north, central, eastern and southern Kenya, in southern parts of Somalia, and in much of northern, central eastern and southern Tanzania.
Moderately to severely wet conditions were observed in southeastern parts of South Sudan, in a few isolated areas in central Ethiopia, in southwestern part of Uganda, in the western highlands of Kenya, in parts of western Burundi, and in isolated areas in western and northwestern Tanzania.
Moderately to severely dry conditions were observed in central, eastern and much of western South Sudan, in western and southern parts of Ethiopia, in southern Somalia, in much of northern, eastern and coastal parts of Kenya, in northwestern, western, central and eastern parts of Uganda. And in several parts of central and southern Tanzania.
Usual rainfall conditions much of the rest of the region receive near normal rainfall conditions or remained generally dry
