Rainfall
Moderately to extremely dry conditions were observed in southern parts of Sudan, in western Eritrea, in northern, eastern and southern parts of South Sudan, in several parts of Ethiopia, in parts of northern and southern Somalia, in eastern and southern parts of Uganda, in northwestern and western parts of Kenya, in much of Rwanda and Burundi, and in northwestern Tanzania.
Moderately to severely wet conditions were observed in a few areas in western South Sudan, parts of central Somalia, and in northwestern parts of Uganda.
Usual rainfall conditions were observed in much of the rest of the region.
Drier than usual conditions were observed in southern parts of Sudan, in several parts of Eritrea and Ethiopia, southern parts of South Sudan, in much of northern and southern parts of Somalia, in parts of eastern and southern Uganda, and in several parts of Kenya, Rwanda, Burundi and Tanzania.
Wetter than usual conditions were observed in a few areas in central Somalia and northwestern Uganda.
Usual rainfall conditions were observed in southwestern parts of Sudan, in much of northern, western and central South Sudan, in parts of northwestern and western Uganda, and in central and southern parts of Kenya.
No rainfall conditions were observed in the northern and central parts of Sudan, in parts of central and southern Eritrea, in northeastern Ethiopia, in northwestern parts of Kenya, in parts of northeastern Somalia, and in central, western and southern parts of Tanzania.
Moderate to heavy rainfall of between 26 - 100 mm was observed in the northern and western parts of South Sudan, in western and southwestern Ethiopia, in a few areas in central Somalia, and in much of Uganda.
Light rainfall of between 5 - 25 mm was observed in southern parts of Sudan, in much of eastern parts of South Sudan, in northwestern, central, eastern and southern parts of Ethiopia, in several parts of central and southern Somalia, in western, central and southern coast of Kenya, in several parts of Rwanda and Burundi, and in northern and coastal parts of Tanzania.
Usual dry rainfall was observed in much of central and northern Sudan, in several parts of Eritrea and Djibouti, in northern, northeastern and central parts of Ethiopia, in parts of northern and southern Somalia, in southeastern South Sudan, in northern, and eastern parts of Kenya, in southern Burundi, and in several parts of Tanzania.
