Rainfall
Moderate to heavy rainfall (50 - 200 mm) was observed in a few isolated areas in western, south-central, and south-eastern Sudan, western and north-western Ethiopia, north-central, eastern parts, and much of western South Sudan, central and south-eastern parts of Uganda, and western parts of Kenya.
Light rainfall (25 - 50 mm) was observed in southern parts of Sudan, parts of central Ethiopia, central and north-eastern parts of South Sudan, and northern, western, south-central, and south-western Uganda.
Rainfall between 5 - 25 mm was observed in western to eastern parts of Sudan, south-eastern parts of South Sudan, western and southern parts of Eritrea, several parts of Djibouti, north-eastern and parts of eastern Ethiopia, north-western Somalia, several parts of Rwanda and Burundi, and in north-western parts of Tanzania.
Usual dry (usually dry in this time of season) conditions were observed in the northern parts of Sudan, coastal and central parts of Eritrea, coastal Djibouti, much of Somalia, eastern and southern parts of Ethiopia, north-eastern and southern Kenya, and several parts of Tanzania.
Wetter than usual conditions were observed in much of Djibouti, in parts of western and eastern Sudan, in southern Eritrea, in northeastern and south-central parts of Ethiopia, in western and eastern parts of South Sudan, in eastern Uganda, in much of western Kenya, and in parts of northwestern Tanzania.
Usual rainfall conditions were observed in much of the southern part of Sudan, in parts of western Eritrea, in several parts of north, central, western and southern Ethiopia, in northern, central, southwestern and southeastern South Sudan, in much of western and central Uganda,
Drier than usual conditions were observed in isolated areas in eastern and southwestern Sudan, in central and southwestern Eritrea, in eastern parts of Ethiopia, in northern and southern parts of Somalia, in south-central South Sudan, in several parts of Rwanda and Burundi, in coastal parts of Kenya, and in eastern Tanzania.
Moderately to severely wet rainfall conditions observed in parts of western, central, eastern and south-eastern Sudan, north-central western and eastern parts of South Sudan, much of Djibouti, parts of north-eastern and south-central Ethiopia, eastern parts of Uganda, and western parts of Kenya.
Moderately to severely dry rainfall conditions observed in south-western and south-eastern Sudan, south-western Eritrea, parts of north-western, western and eastern Ethiopia, northern and southern parts of Somalia, north-western, north-eastern and south-central parts of South Sudan, coastal parts of Kenya, western Rwanda, and eastern parts of Tanzania.
Near normal or dry: most of the rest of the region recorded near normal or generally dry conditions.
