Moderate to heavy rainfall of between 26 - 200 mm was observed in the most southern parts of Sudan, western and north-western Ethiopia, in several parts of South Sudan and Uganda, in western Rwanda, and in western Kenya.

Light rainfall of between 5 - 25 mm was observed in southern parts of Sudan, in western Eritrea, in north-eastern, central parts of Ethiopia, in central and parts of coastal Kenya, in western Rwanda, in parts of south-western Uganda, and in several parts of Burundi.

Usual dry rainfall was observed in much of central and northern Sudan. In coastal, central and southern Eritrea, in several parts of Djibouti, in north-eastern, eastern and southern Ethiopia, in several parts of Somalia, in much of northern, eastern, central and coastal Kenya, and in much of Tanzania.

Wetter than usual conditions were observed in some parts of western Ethiopia, eastern Uganda, and western Kenya.

Drier than usual conditions were observed in central, eastern, south-eastern, and south-western part of Sudan, in coastal and central parts of Eritrea, in north-eastern, central and southern part of Ethiopia, in some parts of north-eastern and south-western South Sudan, in north-western and southern Somalia, in northern, western and south-western parts of Uganda, and in coastal parts of Kenya.

Usual rainfall conditions were observed in south-western Sudan, in several parts of South Sudan, in parts of western Eritrea, in western Ethiopia, and in central parts of Uganda and western Rwanda.

No rainfall conditions were observed in the northern parts of Sudan, in coastal Djibouti, in coastal and southern parts of Eritrea, in several parts of Somalia, in eastern and southern parts of Ethiopia, in northern, central, coastal and southern parts of Kenya, in eastern and central Rwanda, and in much of Burundi and Tanzania.

Moderately to severely dry conditions were observed in much of central, eastern and southern parts of Sudan, in western and central parts of Eritrea, in northern, north-eastern, central and southern parts of Ethiopia, in north-western and southern parts of Somalia, in north-eastern and much of western South Sudan, in much of western Uganda, and in parts of coastal Kenya.

Moderately to severely wet conditions were observed in a few areas in western Ethiopia, eastern Uganda, and western parts of Kenya.

Usual rainfall conditions were observed in much of the rest of the region.
