Rainfall
- Moderate to heavy rainfall between 100 - 200 mm observed in western parts and isolated areas of southern Ethiopia, in eastern and south-eastern Uganda; western, central and south-western Kenya; south-western Rwanda, south-eastern Somalia, and north-eastern and northern coast of Tanzania.
- Moderate rainfall between 50 - 100 mm observed in western, northern and south-eastern South Sudan; over much of southern parts of Ethiopia, central and south-eastern Somalia, much of north and eastern Uganda, central and western parts of Kenya, much of Rwanda and Burundi, and northern Tanzania.
- Light rainfall between 25 - 50 mm observed in southern Sudan, central and north-eastern Ethiopia, central and southern parts of South Sudan, western Uganda, central and south-western Somalia, and north-eastern Tanzania.
- Rainfall between 5 - 25 mm observed over parts of Eritrea, Djibouti, southern parts of Sudan, north-eastern Somalia, north-eastern Kenya, and central and south-eastern Tanzania.
- Usual dry (usually dry in this time of season) conditions almost everywhere in Sudan, some parts of Djibouti, coastal parts of Eritrea, north and eastern parts of Kenya; and in central, western and southern Tanzania.
- Much wetter than usual conditions observed over much of northern and eastern Ethiopia, Djibouti, southern Eritrea, north-western and central Somalia, eastern Uganda; western, central and southern Kenya; southern areas of Sudan, northern and south-eastern South Sudan, east and south-western Rwanda, western Burundi, and north-eastern and northern coast of Tanzania.
- Wetter than usual conditions observed over central South Sudan, central and southern Ethiopia, parts of south-western Somalia, several parts of Rwanda, eastern Burundi, and north-eastern Tanzania.
- Usual rainfall conditions observed in western Eritrea, north-eastern Somalia, southern South Sudan; over much of north, central, and south-western Uganda; and in central parts of Tanzania.
- Moderately drier than usual conditions observed in western parts of Uganda, eastern and northern coast of Kenya, and several parts of western and southern Tanzania.
- Much drier than usual conditions observed over a few parts in eastern Kenya.
- Moderately wet to severely wetter than usual conditions observed in much of Ethiopia, Rwanda, southern Sudan, northern and central South Sudan, central and north-western Somalia; much of western, central and southern Kenya; eastern Uganda, western Burundi, and northern Tanzania.
- Usual rainfall conditions observed over western Eritrea, north-eastern Somalia, southern parts of South Sudan; northern, central and southern Uganda; eastern and coastal Kenya; and much of western, central and southern Tanzania.
- Moderately dry to severely drier than usual conditions observed in a few places in western Uganda, and isolated areas in central Tanzania.
