Rainfall
- Heavy to very heavy rainfall between 100 - 300mm was observed in the southern parts of Tanzania.
- Heavy to moderate rainfall between 50 - 100 mm was observed in north-western Rwanda, south-western parts of Kenya; and central, south-east and north central parts of Tanzania.
- Light rainfall between 25 - 50 mm was observed in Burundi, eastern and southern Rwanda, western parts of Kenya, in south-west Uganda, and north-west and north-eastern parts of Tanzania.
- Rainfall between 5 - 25 mm was observed in central parts of Ethiopia, southern parts of Uganda, and in a few places in western and central parts of Kenya.
- Usual dry (usually dry in this time of season) was observed everywhere in Sudan, South Sudan, several parts of Ethiopia, Djibouti, Eritrea, Somalia, northern Uganda, and northern and eastern Kenya.
- Wetter than normal to much wetter than normal conditions were observed in central and southern Uganda, western Kenya, much of Rwanda, northern and central Burundi; and in much of north, central, eastern and southern Tanzania.
- Normal rainfall conditions were observed in the southern part of Burundi, and in western and south-eastern Tanzania.
- Drier than normal conditions were observed over central and south-western Ethiopia, south-east South Sudan, and in central and coastal parts of Kenya.
- Much drier than normal conditions were observed in south-west South Sudan, and in a few isolated areas in central Kenya.
- Moderate to severely wetter than normal conditions were not observed in Rwanda, central and southern parts of Uganda, western Kenya, northern Burundi; and north-west, north, central and southern parts of Tanzania.
- Normal rainfall conditions were observed in much of central and southern Eritrea, Djibouti, south-east South Sudan, much of Ethiopia, much of Kenya, southern Burundi, and in western and south-eastern Tanzania. While Sudan, Somalia, western Eritrea, north-west and eastern Ethiopia, northern part of South Sudan remained generally dry during the period.
- Moderate to severely drier than normal conditions were observed in south-west South Sudan, northern Uganda, and in few isolated parts in central and eastern Kenya.
