Rainfall
Moderately wet to severely wet conditions were observed in northern and in southeastern Uganda, in some parts of southwestern South Sudan, in part of western Rwanda, and in western and southwestern parts of Tanzania.
Moderately dry to severely dry conditions were observed in parts of southwestern Uganda, in eastern Rwanda, in several parts of Burundi, in central and south-central parts of Kenya, and in northeastern Tanzania.
Usual rainfall conditions were observed in much of the rest of the region.
Wetter than and much wetter than usual conditions were observed in northern and southeastern Uganda, in parts of western Kenya, in western Rwanda, in parts of southwestern South Sudan, and in parts of southwestern, western and northwestern Tanzania.
Drier than usual conditions were observed in parts of central and southwestern Ethiopia, southern South Sudan, in southwestern Uganda, in much of western, central and southern Kenya, in eastern Rwanda, in several parts of Burundi, and in northeastern and eastern parts of Tanzania.
No rainfall conditions were observed in much of Sudan, western Eritrea, Somalia, several parts of Djibouti, northern and central South Sudan, in western, northwestern and eastern Ethiopia, and in northern, central and eastern Kenya.
Moderate to heavy rainfall of between 51-200 mm was observed in much of western and southern Tanzania and in western Rwanda.
Moderate rainfall of between 26 - 50 mm was observed in several parts of Burundi, in parts of western Kenya, and in northwestern, centra. And southeastern Tanzania.
Light rainfall of between 6- 25 mm occurred in parts of central and southwestern Ethiopia, in several parts of Uganda, in parts of western Kenya, in eastern Rwanda, and in northern and northeastern parts of Tanzania.
Rainfall less than 5mm was observed in much of Sudan, Eritrea, Djibouti, Somalia, South Sudan, in several parts of Ethiopia, in several parts of Kenya, and in northeastern Tanzania.
