Rainfall
 
                    
                Heavy rainfall (100-200mm) was observed in western parts of Ethiopia.
Moderate rainfall (50-100 mm) was observed in south-western and south-eastern Sudan, much of western South Sudan, north-western and central highlands of Ethiopia.
Light rainfall (25-50 mm) was observed in south-western and parts of south-eastern Sudan, much of northern central, eastern and southern parts of South Sudan, northern and eastern margins of western Ethiopia, parts of northwest, western and south-eastern Uganda, and in some areas of western Kenya.
Rainfall of 5-25 mm was observed in southern parts of Sudan, south-western Eritrea, north-central and south-eastern parts of South Sudan, central parts of Ethiopia, south-eastern Somalia, north-eastern, central and southern parts of Uganda, parts of western and coastal Kenya.
Normal dry conditions (usually dry this time of the year) were observed in much of central and northern Sudan, Eritrea, Djibouti, north-eastern, eastern, and southern Ethiopia, northern, central and south-western Somalia, much of northern, eastern and central Kenya, south-western Uganda, Rwanda and Burundi, and in most of Tanzania.
 
                    
                Wetter to much wetter than normal conditions were observed in south-western and south-eastern Sudan, western Ethiopia, north-western, south-western, and northeastern South Sudan, and in western Uganda.
Normal rainfall conditions were observed in north-western and central parts of Ethiopia, much of western, central, southern, and eastern South Sudan, north-western and south-eastern Uganda, and in parts of western Kenya.
Drier to much drier than normal conditions were observed over western Eritrea, south-central Sudan extending to north-central South Sudan, north-eastern and south-western Uganda, south-western and eastern parts of Ethiopia, north-western and south-eastern Somalia, north-western, central and coastal parts of Kenya, parts of Rwanda, and in northern and eastern parts of Tanzania.
No rainfall conditions were observed in northern and central parts of Sudan, southern Eritrea, Djibouti, north-eastern and south-eastern Ethiopia, north-eastern and central Somalia, much of the northern and eastern parts of Kenya, eastern Rwanda, Burundi and much of western, central and southern Tanzania.
 
                    
                Moderately to extremely wet conditions were observed in south-eastern and parts of south-western Sudan, north-western and northeastern South Sudan, western Ethiopia and western parts of Uganda.
Normal rainfall conditions were observed over southern parts of Sudan, south-western Eritrea, several parts of northern and central Ethiopia, much of western, southern and eastern South Sudan, much of north-western, central, south-eastern and south-western Uganda, western, central and coastal parts of Kenya, southern parts of Somalia, western Rwanda, and northern and coastal parts of Tanzania.
Moderately to severely drier than normal conditions were observed in south-central Sudan extending to north-central and central South Sudan, southern Ethiopia, a few parts of north-western and south-eastern Somalia, north-western, western and south-central Uganda, upper western parts of Kenya, and in eastern and north-eastern parts of Tanzania.
