Rainfall
Moderate to heavy rainfall exceeding 100mm was observed in western parts of Ethiopia.
Moderate rainfall of between 51-100 mm was observed in southeastern parts of Sudan, in much of western and northwestern Ethiopia, and in several parts of western South Sudan.
Moderate rainfall of between 26 - 50 mm was observed in southern parts of Sudan, in several parts of South Sudan, in northwestern and southeastern Uganda, and in western parts and southern coast of Kenya extending to part of northern coast of Tanzania.
Light rainfall of between 6- 25 mm occurred in southern Sudan, southwestern Eritrea, southeastern South Sudan, in parts of central Ethiopia, in northeastern, central and southwestern parts of Uganda, in parts of central parts and northern coastal parts of Kenya
Rainfall less than 5mm was observed in the rest of the region
Moderately dry to severely dry conditions were observed in several parts of South Sudan, in part of southwestern, central and northeastern Ethiopia, in parts of north western and southeastern Tanzania, in northeastern and southwestern Uganda, in parts of western Kenya and in western Rwanda.

Usual rainfall conditions and no rainfall conditions were observed in much of the rest of the region.
Drier than usual conditions were observed in several parts of South Suda ,in north eastern and southwester Ethiopia, in northwestern and southeastern Somalia, in northeastern and southwestern Uganda, in northwestern and in parts of central Kenya, and in western Rwanda,
Wetter than and much wetter than usual conditions were observed in western part of Eritrea, in southwestern and southeastern Sudan, in part of northwestern and western Ethiopia, and in southern coast of Kenya extending to the northern coast of Tanzania.
Near Normal rainfall conditions were observed in parts of southwestern and south-central South Sudan, in central and western parts of Ethiopia, in northwestern, northeastern and southwestern parts of South Sudan, in northwestern, central and southeastern Uganda, and in parts of western Kenya.
No rainfall conditions were observed in northern to central Sudan, in coastal, central and southern Eritrea, in northeastern, southern and southeastern Ethiopia, in Djibouti, in northern, central and southwestern Somalia, in much of northern, eastern and southeastern Kenya, and in much of Rwanda, Burundi, and Tanzania.
