  • Moderate rainfall between 50 - 100 mm observed in scattered parts of southern and central Tanzania.
  • Light rainfall between 25 - 50 mm observed in and north-western Tanzania, everywhere in Burundi, Rwanda, south-western Uganda, and highlands of western and southern Ethiopia.
  • Rainfall between 5 - 25 mm observed over central and northern Tanzania, central and south-western Somalia, and northern and most parts of central Ethiopia.
  • Usual dry (usually dry in this time of season) conditions almost everywhere in Sudan, northern parts of South Sudan, Djibouti, northern and central Somalia, and most pars of north-western Eritrea.
Recent rainfall anomalies
  • Much wetter than usual conditions observed over western and southern parts of Ethiopia, eastern parts of South Sudan, north-eastern Kenya, and south-western Somalia.
  • Usual rainfall conditions observed in northern Burundi, most parts of Rwanda, south-western Uganda, and southern parts of south Sudan.
  • Moderately drier than usual conditions observed everywhere over Tanzania, most parts of Kenya, central and northern Uganda, central and northern Ethiopia, central Eritrea, central Djibouti, and south-western South Sudan.
  • Much drier than usual conditions observed in isolated areas in north-eastern Ethiopia, Kwale county of Kenya, and central and western Tanzania.
