Rainfall
Heavy rainfall exceeding 100 mm was observed in a few areas in southwestern South Sudan, in northwestern Uganda, and southwestern Ethiopia.
Moderate to heavy rainfall of between 26 - 100 mm was observed in much of South Sudan, in western, southern and eastern Ethiopia, in central and southern parts of Somalia, in several parts of Uganda, Rwanda and Burundi, in western and parts of central Kenya, and in parts of northwestern Tanzania.
Light rainfall of between 5 - 25 mm was observed in southern parts of Sudan, in parts of western Eritrea, in parts of northern Somalia, in parts of central and eastern Kenya, and in parts of northwestern Tanzania and coastal Tanzania.
Usual dry rainfall was observed in several parts of Sudan, in parts of central and southern Eritrea, in part of northern, eastern and southern Kenya, in central, western and southern Tanzania.
Moderately wet to severely wet conditions were observed eastern part of Sudan, in western Eritrea, in northwestern and southern parts of South Sudan, in northwestern, western, southern and eastern parts of Ethiopia, in parts of northern and central Somalia, in several parts of Uganda, in northern and western parts of Kenya, and in northwestern and southeastern parts of Tanzania.
Moderately dry to extremely dry conditions were observed in a few isolated places in southern Kenya and central Tanzania
Usual rainfall conditions were observed in much of the rest of the region.
Wetter than usual conditions were observed in a eastern part of Sudan, in western Eritrea, in northwestern and southern parts of South Sudan, in northwestern, western, southern and eastern Ethiopia, in parts of north and central Somalia, in several parts of Uganda, in northern and western parts of Kenya, and in parts of northwestern and southeastern Tanzania.
Drier than usual conditions were observed in southern parts of Sudan, in central and southern parts of Eritrea, in several parts of Djibouti, in central and northeastern Ethiopia, in much of eastern, central, southern and coastal parts of Kenya, in southern parts of Somalia, and in western, central and northeastern parts of Tanzania.
Usual rainfall conditions were observed in northern and western parts of South Sudan, in part of southern Somalia, in southwestern Uganda in parts of western Kenya, in parts of Rwanda, northern Burundi, and in part of northwestern Tanzania.
No rainfall conditions were observed in the several parts of Sudan, in northeastern Ethiopia, in parts of Djibouti, in northwestern parts of Kenya, and in central and southwestern parts of Tanzania.
