Rainfall
Moderate to heavy rainfall between 50 - 200 mm was observed in western and northwestern parts of Ethiopia, in western and southern parts of South Sudan, in northwestern, southwestern and southeastern Uganda, in western parts of Kenya, and in northern Rwanda.
Light rainfall between 25 - 50 mm was observed in southern parts of Sudan, in parts of northern, northeastern, central and eastern South Sudan, in parts of central Ethiopia, in several parts of northern, central, south-central and western Uganda, in parts of western Kenya, and in western and eastern parts of Rwanda.
Rainfall between 5 - 25 mm was observed in central to eastern parts of Sudan, in western and southern parts of Eritrea, in a few areas in Djibouti, in northeastern Ethiopia and eastern and southern margins of central Ethiopia, in northwestern parts of Somalia, in northern Rwanda, in a few places in coastal Kenya, and in northeastern Tanzania and northern coast of Tanzania.
Usual dry (usually dry in this time of season) was observed in the northern parts of Sudan, in coastal and central parts of Eritrea, in some parts of Djibouti, in much of Somalia, in eastern and southern parts of Ethiopia, in northern eastern, coastal and southern parts of Kenya, in parts of southern Burundi, and in several parts of Tanzania.
Wetter than usual conditions were observed in parts of western, central, eastern and southeastern Sudan, in western, and southern parts of Eritrea, in northern Ethiopia, in parts of northeast and southwestern South Sudan, in western, southwestern and southeastern parts of Uganda, in western Kenya, in northern and eastern Rwanda, and in northwestern part of Tanzania.
Usual rainfall conditions were observed in much of the southern part of Sudan, in parts of southwestern Eritrea, in western and central parts of Ethiopia, in several parts of South Sudan, in much of Uganda, in western and southern parts of Rwanda, and in northern Burundi.
Drier than usual conditions were observed in isolated areas north-central South Sudan, in southern and eastern Ethiopia, in northern and southern parts of Somalia, in central and coastal parts of Kenya, in southern Burundi, in northwestern and eastern parts of Tanzania. Much of the rest of the region recorded no rainfall condition.
Moderately to severely wet rainfall conditions was observed in western, central and southeastern Sudan, in parts of western and southern Eritrea, in northern parts of Ethiopia, in parts of northeastern and southwestern South Sudan, in western and southeastern Uganda, in western parts of Kenya, in northern and eastern Rwanda and in northwestern part of Tanzania.
Moderately to severely dry rainfall conditions were observed in western, southern and eastern parts of Ethiopia, in northern and southern Somalia, in a few areas in northcentral South Sudan, in southern Burundi, and in coastal parts of Kenya.
Near Normal or dry: Much of the rest of the region recorded near normal or generally dry conditions.
