Rainfall
Moderate rainfall (50 - 100 mm) was observed in some areas of western and south-western parts of eastern Ethiopia, a few places in south-western South Sudan, and in north-western and south-western parts of Uganda.
Light rainfall (25 - 50 mm) was observed in western, southern, and eastern parts of Ethiopia, western and south-western parts of South Sudan, much of north-western, western, south-western and south-eastern Uganda, a few areas in western and central Kenya, northern and western parts of Rwanda, and north-western Burundi.
Rainfall between 5 - 25 mm was observed in western Eritrea, north-western, central, and parts of eastern Ethiopia, south-central parts of Sudan, north-western and southern parts of Somalia, northern, central, and eastern South Sudan, central parts of Uganda, parts of western, central, and coastal Kenya, south-eastern Rwanda, eastern and southern Burundi, parts of north, north-western, and eastern Tanzania
Usual dry conditions were observed in several parts of Sudan, Djibouti, south-western, central and southern Eritrea, north-eastern Ethiopia, north-eastern and central parts of Somalia, north-eastern Uganda, northern parts of Kenya, and much of Tanzania.
Wetter and much wetter than usual conditions were observed in south-eastern parts of Sudan, western parts of Ethiopia, central parts of Somalia, in north-central, north-eastern, central and south-eastern South Sudan, parts of western, north-eastern and eastern Uganda, and the western highlands of Kenya.
Usual rainfall conditions were observed in parts of South Sudan, south-western and southern Ethiopia, a few areas in southern Somalia and north-western and south-western Uganda, a few places in central and eastern Kenya, and in south-western Rwanda and north-western Burundi.
Drier than usual conditions were observed over southern parts of Sudan, central and southern Eritrea, Djibouti, north-eastern, central, and south-eastern parts of Ethiopia, several parts of north-eastern, central, and southern Somalia, isolated areas in western and south-eastern South Sudan, several parts of Kenya, much of western, central, and eastern Uganda, much of central and eastern Rwanda, several parts of Burundi, and much of Tanzania
Moderately to severely wet conditions were observed in parts of eastern Sudan, western Eritrea, north-western and western parts of eastern Ethiopia, north-western Somalia, and a few places in north-eastern and central Sudan
Moderately to severely dry conditions were observed in southern parts of Sudan, some places in north-western, western and south-eastern South Sudan, parts of north-eastern and central Somalia, several parts of Uganda, much of western, central, north-western and north-eastern Kenya, much of Rwanda, eastern and southern Burundi, and in north-western and western Tanzania.
Usual rainfall conditions were observed in most of the rest of the region.
