- Usual dry (usually dry in this season) conditions almost everywhere in Sudan, central and northern parts of South Sudan, Djibouti, Somalia, most pars of Eritrea, south-eastern and north-western Ethiopia, and eastern parts of Kenya.
- Much wetter than usual conditions observed over south-western and the highland of central Ethiopia; northern, central and southern parts of Kenya; southern and western Uganda, southern Burundi, and most parts of Tanzania.
- Wetter than usual conditions observed in most parts of Tanzania and southern Kenya.
- Usual rainfall conditions observed over central Uganda; isolated areas in south-western, south-eastern and north-eastern Tanzania; and northern Burundi.
