Rainfall
Moderately wet to severely wet conditions were observed in several parts of Uganda, in much of western, central and southern parts of Kenya, in central, western and southern Tanzania, and in parts of central and southwestern Ethiopia.
Moderately dry to severely dry conditions were observed in several parts of Burundi, in some parts of southern Rwanda, and parts of southern South Sudan.
Usual rainfall conditions were observed in much of the rest of the region.
Wetter than and much wetter than usual conditions were observed in much of Uganda, in several parts of western, central, northwestern and southwestern Kenya, in central, southwestern and southern Tanzania, and in parts of central and southwestern Ethiopia.
Drier than usual conditions were observed in southern parts of South Sudan, in parts of central Ethiopia, in southern parts of Rwanda, in several parts of Burundi, and in parts of northern and northeastern Tanzania.
Near Normal conditions were observed in central parts of Ethiopia, in central and southern Eritrea, in parts of southwestern Uganda, in parts of eastern Kenya, in northern and western Rwanda, and in parts of western and central Tanzania.
No rainfall conditions were observed in much of Sudan, western and central Eritrea, in parts of Djibouti, Somalia, northern and central South Sudan, in northwestern and eastern Ethiopia, and in northeastern Kenya.
Moderate to heavy rainfall of between 51-200 mm was observed in western, central and southern Tanzania, and in parts of western Kenya.
Moderate rainfall of between 26 - 50 mm was observed in southeastern Uganda, in western and central parts of Kenya, in northwestern Rwanda, in southern Burundi, and in northwestern, and central parts of Tanzania.
Light rainfall of between 6- 25 mm occurred in central and southwestern Ethiopia, southern parts of South Sudan, in several parts of Uganda, in northwestern and central parts of Kenya, in southern Rwanda, in northern and eastern Burundi, and in parts of northern and northeastern Tanzania.
Rainfall less than 5mm was observed in much of Sudan, Eritrea, Djibouti, Somalia, South Sudan, in several parts of western, northern and eastern Ethiopia, in several parts of eastern Kenya, and in northeastern part of Tanzania.
