Rainfall
Heavy rainfall (100-200mm) was observed in a few areas of south-eastern and north-western South Sudan, western and central Sudan, and the western highlands of Kenya.
Moderate rainfall (50 - 100 mm) was observed in western and southern parts of Sudan, much of north, central, eastern, and western South Sudan, northern, central western, and south-eastern Uganda, and parts of western Kenya.
Light rainfall (25 - 50 mm) was observed in the central parts of Sudan, western Eritrea, a few areas of north-eastern Ethiopia, south-eastern South Sudan, north-eastern and southern parts of Uganda, western Rwanda, and a few areas in north-western Tanzania.
Rainfall between 5 - 25 mm was observed in central to eastern parts of Sudan, central parts of Eritrea, parts of north-eastern Ethiopia, coastal parts of Kenya, south-eastern Somalia, northern and eastern Burundi, and parts of the north-western and northern coast of Tanzania.
Dry conditions (usually dry in this time of season) were observed in northern parts of Sudan, coastal parts of Eritrea, eastern and southern Ethiopia, much of Somalia, southern Burundi, north-eastern, central, and southern Kenya, and in much of Tanzania.
Wetter and much wetter than usual conditions were observed in western, central, and eastern Sudan, parts of southern Eritrea, much of Djibouti, a few areas in north-eastern Ethiopia, north-western Somalia, western, south-western, central, and south-eastern Uganda, western Kenya, much of Rwanda and Burundi, and parts of north-western Tanzania.
Usual rainfall conditions were observed in much of the southern parts of Sudan, western parts of Eritrea, much of South Sudan, western, central, and northern Ethiopia, and in northern parts of Uganda.
Drier and much drier than usual conditions were observed over a few places in south-western and western Sudan, central parts of Eritrea, parts of south-eastern South Sudan, southern parts of Somalia, central and coastal parts of Kenya, and eastern parts of Tanzania.
No rainfall conditions were observed in parts of northern Sudan, eastern and southern Ethiopia, northern, central and western parts of southern Somalia, north-eastern and south-central Kenya, and in several parts of Tanzania.
