Rainfall

Moderately wet to severely conditions were observed in southeastern parts of South Sudan, in eastern, southern and southwestern Uganda, in coastal and parts of western Kenya, in much of Rwanda, in several parts of Burundi, and in northwestern and western Tanzania.
Moderately dry to severely dry conditions were observed in a few marginal areas in northwestern Uganda, southern Ethiopia, and parts of eastern Tanzania.
Usual rainfall conditions were observed in much of the rest of the region.

Wetter than and much wetter than usual conditions were observed in coastal areas and parts of western Kenya, in southeastern parts of South Sudan, in eastern, northeastern, and southern and southeastern Uganda, in much of Rwanda and Burundi, and in northwestern, and western Tanzania
Drier than usual conditions were observed in northwestern Uganda, in southern Ethiopia, in southern Tanzania, in several parts of northern, central and southern Kenya, and in northeastern and eastern Tanzania.
Usual rainfall conditions were observed in a few areas in central and southern Eritrea, in coastal Djibouti, in central Ethiopia, in central and southern parts of Uganda, and in central and southeastern parts of Tanzania.
No rainfall conditions were observed in much of Sudan, in much of western Eritrea, in parts of Djibouti, in northern and eastern Ethiopia, in several parts of Somalia and South Sudan.

Moderate to heavy rainfall of between 51-200 mm was observed several parts of Rwanda and Burundi, in parts of coastal Kenya, in northwestern, western and southwestern Tanzania.
Moderate rainfall of between 26 - 50 mm was observed in southern parts of Uganda, in parts of western and coastal Kenya, and in central and southeastern parts of Tanzania.
Light rainfall of between 6- 25 mm was observed in central parts of Eritrea, in southwestern Ethiopia, in northeastern Uganda, southeastern South Sudan, in several parts of central Kenya, and in northeastern parts of Tanzania.
Rainfall less than 5mm was observed in much of Sudan, in several parts of Eritrea, Djibouti, Ethiopia, South Sudan, and Somalia, in parts of northwestern Uganda, and in much of northern, and northeastern Kenya.
