- Warmer than usual minimum temperature recorded over western and eastern parts of Sudan, south and central South Sudan, everywhere in Kenya, Uganda, Somalia, and Tanzania.
- Cooler than usual minimum temperature recorded in central and northern Sudan, northern parts of South Sudan, and south Burundi.
Much wetter than usual observed in most parts of western Sudan, highland of western and central Ethiopia
- Much wetter than usual conditions observed in most parts of western and central Sudan; western, central and eastern Ethiopia; and north-western Somalia.
- Wetter than usual conditions observed in most parts south-eastern Sudan, eastern South Sudan, Lake Victoria region of Uganda, north-western Burundi, and western Kenya.
- Usual rainfall conditions observed in southern parts of Sudan; most parts of South Sudan; northern Ethiopia and Eritrea, and central and northern Uganda.
- Moderately drier than usual conditions observed in costal parts of Eritrea, isolated areas in South Sudan, southern parts of Sudan, north-western Kenya, most parts of eastern and north-eastern Rwanda, and northern Burundi.
Very Heavy rainfall (above 200 mm) observed in most parts of highlands of central Ethiopia.

- Usual Dry conditions (usually dry in this time of season) in most parts of Somalia; north-eastern and southern Kenya; most parts of south-eastern Rwanda; north-eastern, eastern and south-eastern Burundi; and most of Tanzania.
