Rainfall
Moderate to heavy rainfall 100 -200mm was observed in the western parts of Ethiopia.
Moderate rainfall of between 26 - 100 mm was observed in much of the southern parts of Sudan, in western Eritrea, in much of South Sudan, and in western Ethiopia, in northern and eastern Uganda, and in parts of western Kenya.
Light rainfall of between 5 - 25 mm was observed in the central parts of Sudan, in the eastern and southern margins of western and central Ethiopia, in northeastern Ethiopia, in central and southwestern Uganda, in parts of southern Somalia, and in parts of western, central and coastal Kenya.
Usual dry rainfall was observed in northern parts of Sudan, in the coastal and southern parts of Eritrea, in several parts of Djibouti, in much of northern, central and southwestern parts of Somalia, in eastern and southern parts of Ethiopia, in southern parts of Uganda, in northern, eastern, central and southern parts of Kenya, and in much of Rwanda, Burundi and Tanzania.
Wetter than usual conditions were observed in a few isolated areas in southwestern Ethiopia and southeastern South Sudan.
Drier than usual conditions were observed in central and eastern parts of Sudan, in several parts of Eritrea and Djibouti, in northern, northeastern, central and southern parts of Ethiopia, in northeastern and southwestern parts of South Sudan, in several parts of Uganda, in much of western and eastern parts of Kenya, and in parts of southeastern Somalia.
Usual rainfall conditions were in observed in southern parts of Sudan, in parts of western Eritrea, in some parts of Djibouti, in western Ethiopia, in parts of northern, central and eastern South Sudan, and in some parts of southeastern Somalia
No rainfall conditions were observed in the northern parts of Sudan, in coastal Eritrea, in eastern Ethiopia, in northern and central parts of Somali, in northern, eastern and southern parts of Kenya, and in much of Rwanda Burundi and Tanzania.
Moderately to severely wet conditions were observed in a few places in western Sudan and southwestern and western Ethiopia.
Moderately to severely dry conditions were observed in much of Uganda, in southwestern and northeastern parts of South Sudan, in some areas in southern and eastern Sudan, in parts of western Eritrea, in northeastern, central and parts of southern Ethiopia, and in parts of southern Somalia, in parts of western, central and coastal Kenya.
Usual rainfall conditions were observed in much of the rest of the region.
