Rainfall

Moderate to high rainfall exceeding 100mm occurred in isolated part of western Ethiopia.
Moderate rainfall of between 26-100mm occurred in western, southern and eastern Sudan, western and central Eritrea, in several parts of South Sudan, in northern, central and western Ethiopia, in northeastern and eastern Uganda, and in parts of western Kenya.
Light rainfall of between 6-25 mm occurred in central to eastern Sudan, in eastern and southern margins of central Ethiopia, in northeastern and eastern Uganda, in southeastern Somalia and coastal parts of Kenya.
Much of the rest of the region recorded less than 5 mm of rainfall

Moderately dry to severely dry conditions were observed in several parts of Uganda, in southern, northern and eastern parts of South Sudan extending into southern parts of Sudan, in northern, central and south-central Ethiopia, in several parts of Djibouti, western Eritrea, western and central parts of Kenya, and in southeastern Somalia.
Moderately wet to severely wet conditions were observed in a few isolated parts of western South Sudan and western Ethiopia.

Drier than and much drier than usual conditions were observed in several parts of Uganda extending to the southern parts of South Sudan, in western and central Kenya, in southern, central and northern Ethiopia, in western and southern Eritrea, in much of Djibouti.
Wetter than and much wetter than usual conditions were observed in a few areas in western to eastern central Sudan.
Near normal rainfall condition was observed in central to southern parts of Sudan, in western Ethiopia, in northern, western and central South Sudan, in southern parts of Somalia, and in southeastern Kenya.
