Rainfall
Heavy to moderate rainfall between 50 - 200 mm was observed in south-western Ethiopia, over much of Uganda, in southern parts of South Sudan, in western parts of Kenya, much of Rwanda and Burundi, and in north-western Tanzania.
Light rainfall between 25 - 50 mm was observed in western, southern and eastern parts of South Sudan, south-western Uganda, central parts of Kenya, eastern Burundi, and in coastal parts of Tanzania.
Rainfall between 5 - 25 mm was observed in southern part of Sudan, northern parts of South Sudan; in northern, central and southern Ethiopia; in parts of north-western and southern Somalia, coastal parts of Kenya, and in north-eastern and eastern parts of Tanzania.
Usual dry (usually dry in this time of season) was observed in much of north and central Sudan, in Eritrea, Djibouti, in north-eastern and south-eastern Ethiopia, northern and central Somalia, in northern and eastern Kenya, and in western, central and southern Tanzania.
Wetter than and much wetter than normal conditions were observed in south-eastern part of South Sudan, south-western Ethiopia; much of western, northern and central Uganda; north-western and south-western Kenya, over much of Rwanda and Burundi, and in north-western Tanzania.
Normal rainfall conditions were observed in northern and central parts of Sudan, in Djibouti, in isolated areas in western and north-eastern South Sudan, western and southern Ethiopia, south-eastern Uganda, western and central parts of Kenya, and central and south-western parts of Tanzania.
Drier than normal conditions were observed over southern parts of Sudan, western and central Eritrea; in northern, central and eastern Ethiopia; over much of northern, central and western parts of South Sudan; in central, eastern and coastal Kenya; over much of Somalia, and in western and eastern parts of Tanzania.
Much drier than normal conditions were observed in some areas of southern Sudan, eastern Ethiopia, and central Somalia.
Moderately to extremely wet conditions were observed in south-eastern part of South Sudan, south-western Ethiopia; in much of northern, western and central Uganda; in north-western and south-western parts of Kenya; over much of Rwanda and Burundi, and in parts of north-western Tanzania.
Normal rainfall conditions were observed over northern, central, south-western, south-central and eastern parts of Sudan; western Eritrea, northern, southern and eastern Ethiopia; north-eastern and central parts of South Sudan; in south-eastern Uganda; in much of northern, eastern, western and central Kenya; in south-western Somalia, and in north-eastern, central and south-western Tanzania.
Moderately to severely drier than normal conditions were observed in southern parts of Sudan, southern Eritrea, in much of Djibouti, Somalia, in north-western and western parts of South Sudan, north-western and north-eastern Ethiopia, in coastal Kenya, and in western and coastal Tanzania.
