Moderately wet to severely wet conditions were observed in southern and southeastern parts of Sudan, in much parts of Eritrea and Djibouti, in several parts of Ethiopia and Somalia, in northeastern Kenya, and in eastern Tanzania.

Moderately dry to extremely dry conditions were observed in southern parts of South Sudan, in parts of Rwanda and Burundi, in several parts of Uganda, in part of western Kenya, and in parts of northwestern, western and central Tanzania.

Usual rainfall conditions were observed in much of the rest of the region.

Wetter than usual conditions were observed in southern parts of Sudan in much of Eritrea and Djibouti, in several parts of Ethiopia, in several parts of Somalia, in northeastern Kenya, and in coastal Tanzania.

Drier than usual conditions were observed in central and western parts of Sudan, in southern parts of South Sudan, in several parts of Uganda, in southern and coastal Kenya, in several parts of Rwanda and Burundi, and in much of Tanzania.

Usual rainfall conditions were observed in northern parts of South Sudan, in central Ethiopia, in western parts of Kenya, and in parts of southeastern Uganda.

No rainfall conditions were observed in northern and central parts of Sudan, in northwestern Kenya, and in central parts of Tanzania

Heavy rainfall of between 51-200 mm was observed in northwestern, western and southern parts of Ethiopia, in central and southern parts of Somalia, in northeastern, central western and parts of coastal Kenya, in western parts of South Sudan, in parts of central and southeastern Uganda, and in northern coast of Tanzania.

Moderate to heavy rainfall of between 26 - 50 mm was observed in southeastern parts of Sudan, in much of northern, western, and eastern South Sudan, in eastern parts of Ethiopia, in central parts of Somalia, in several parts of Uganda, in western Kenya, in parts of Rwanda and northern Burundi, and in parts of western and coastal Kenya.

Light rainfall of between 5 - 25 mm was observed in southern parts of Sudan, in several parts of Eritrea, in coastal Djibouti, in parts of central Ethiopia, in southern parts of South Sudan, in northeastern Uganda, in parts of eastern and central Kenya, in eastern Rwanda, eastern and southern Burundi, and in northwestern parts of Tanzania.

Usual dry rainfall was observed in several parts of Sudan, in parts of western and southern Eritrea, in northeastern Ethiopia, in northeastern Somalia, in northwestern Kenya, and in much of northeastern, central, western and southern Tanzania.
