Rainfall
- Heavy to moderate rainfall between 100 - 200 mm observed over highlands of western Kenya, and isolated parts in southern and western Tanzania.
- Heavy to moderate rainfall between 50 -100 mm observed in western and southern parts of Tanzania, southern parts of Burundi and Rwanda, and south-eastern and central Uganda.
- Light rainfall between 25 - 50 mm observed in isolated parts in central and northern Ethiopia highlands, southern parts of South Sudan, central parts in Kenya, and sporadic parts in central Tanzania.
- Rainfall between 5 - 25 mm observed in central and north-eastern Tanzania, most parts of Kenya, south-eastern parts of South Sudan, southern and central Ethiopia, and southern and central Somalia.
- Normal dry conditions (usually dry in this time of season) observed everywhere in Sudan, in much of north and central parts of South Sudan, Eritrea, Djibouti, Somalia, and several parts of north-eastern Ethiopia.
- Much wetter than usual conditions observed in south-western parts of Ethiopia, central Somalia, and highlands of western Kenya.
- Wetter than usual conditions observed over central and northern Uganda, and south-western Tanzania.
- Normal rainfall conditions observed in southern parts of South Sudan and Ethiopia, south-western Uganda and Somalia, everywhere in Rwanda and most parts of Burundi, and sporadic parts in north-western and eastern Tanzania.
- Drier than normal conditions observed over much of Eritrea, eastern parts of Djibouti, western and north-eastern Ethiopia, most parts of Kenya, and central and north-eastern Tanzania.
- Much drier than normal conditions observed in north-eastern and western parts of Ethiopia, western parts of South Sudan, and sporadic parts in lower-eastern and costal Kenya.
- Moderately to severely wetter than normal conditions observed in western Tanzania, central and northern Uganda, highlands of western Kenya, south-eastern Ethiopia, and central Somalia.
- Normal rainfall conditions observed in southern parts of South Sudan and Ethiopia, south-western Uganda and Somalia, everywhere in Rwanda and most parts of Burundi, and sporadic parts in north-western and eastern Tanzania.
- Moderately to severely drier than normal conditions observed in western and north-eastern Ethiopia, western and eastern parts of South Sudan; north-western , lower-eastern and costal parts of Kenya, most parts of Eritrea, central Burundi, and sporadic parts in southern, central and north-eastern Tanzania.
