GHACOF 59: Climate Services for Resilience
The IGAD Climate Prediction and Applications Centre (ICPAC) in collaboration with partners are jointly organizing the Fifty-Ninth Greater Horn of Africa Climate Outlook Forum (GHACOF 59) for the October to December (OND) 2021 season to be held virtually on 26 August 2021. The forum will be held within the framework of the IGAD regional strategy for mainstreaming climate information in key socio-economic sectors for sustainable development. The theme of the forum will be "Climate Services for Resilience”.
The virtual forum will bring together climate scientists, researchers, users from key socio-economic sectors, governmental and non-governmental organizations, development partners, decision-makers, and civil society stakeholders among others. The forum will be preceded by an online climate prediction development workshop for the climate experts from the participating National Meteorological and Hydrological Services (NMHSs) from 16 to 20 August 2021 and co-production workshops with keys sectors from 24 to 25 August 2021.

JJA 2021 Rainfall Performance and Presentation of OND 2021 Seasonal forecast
This session aims at introducing the work to be conducted by the working groups, at analyzing the impacts of the past season on different sectors, as well as the use and benefits of climate products and services.
