Second Project Steering Committee Meeting for the RICCAMA Project
The project has been in its Preparation Phase since 11 June 2020 when the first Project Steering Committee (PSC) meeting ended. It has focused on the development of an implementation plan with key documents such as capacity building modalities, concept notes for identifying trainers and resource persons, mapping of institutions, and climate change projects currently ongoing in the member countries among other planned activities to be agreed upon with the IGAD Member States. The Project Steering Committee (PSC) is an integral part of RICCAMA project and has a critical role to provide guidance and strategic direction of the project. Since it is the highest decision-making organ for the RICCAMA project, the second PSC meeting is planned to review the preparation phase progress and also provide guidance for the implementation phase.
The expected outputs of the second PSC meeting are:
- Approved project Action Plan, addendum No. 1, and budget
- Approved project implementation documents
- Recommendations of actions to accelerate the implementation phase of the project
The meeting is for the invited participants only.
The PSC composition includes the ICPAC Director, representatives of the IGAD Secretariat, EUD, and OACPS, UNFCCC focal points with member states and the Project Manager who is the Secretary to the meeting.
