Rainfall
Moderate to high rainfall amounts of exceeding 500mm was observed in a few isolated parts of western Ethiopia, south eastern Uganda, western Burundi, and parts of western Kenya.
Moderate rainfall amounts of between 201-500mm were observed in several parts of South Sudan, Rwanda, Uganda and Burundi, in western parts of Ethiopia, in western, central and coastal Kenya, and in northwestern Tanzania.
Light rainfall between 11 - 200 mm was observed in southern parts of Sudan, in much of Eritrea and Djibouti and Somalia, in northern, eastern, central and southern Ethiopia, in parts of northern South Sudan,
No rainfall or less than 10mm was observed in northern and central parts of Sudan, in parts of northeastern Somalia, parts of northwestern Kenya, and central Tanzania.
Drier than usual and much drier than usual conditions were observed in several parts of Somalia, in northeastern parts of Kenya, and in southern and southeastern Ethiopia.
Wetter than usual and much wetter than usual conditions were observed in much of Burundi in several parts of Rwanda in western Eritrea, in a few parts of northwestern, and western Ethiopia, northwestern, southern and southeastern parts of Kenya, and in northwestern Tanzania
No rain condition was observed in the northern parts of Sudan.
Usual rainfall conditions were observed in the rest of the region.
Moderately dry to severely dry conditions were observed in several parts of Somalia, in southern and northeastern parts of Ethiopia, in a few parts of western South Sudan, central and south-central Uganda, and central Sudan.
Moderate to extremely wet rainfall conditions were observed in several parts of Rwanda and Burundi, in parts of western and eastern Uganda, in northwestern, western and southeastern Kenya, western Ethiopia, northwestern Tanzania and northwestern Eritrea.
Usual rainfall conditions were observed in the rest of the region.
