Since 2020, the IGAD Food Security, Nutrition and Resilience Analysis Hub (IFRAH), in collaboration with the Integrated Food Security Phase Classification Global Support Unit (IPC-GSU) for East and Central Africa, have been convening regional forums for IGAD member states and partners to jointly update the food security and nutrition situation in the region, and propose actionable solutions.

This report presents proceedings of the fifth meeting that was convened on 02-03 June 2022 in Mombasa, Kenya.

The report provides a background of the food security and nutrition situation in the region, a brief about the IPC approach, country-specific acute food insecurity and malnutrition analyses including key drivers, resilience building, and disaster risk management (DRM) in the region and recommendations for improving the situation.
